It is situated around 28KM south from Mt Gambier and around 477KM SE from Adelaide.
The permanent population is around 1,000 but this swells in the summer months due to all the attractions such as climate, beaches, fishing and diving; as this area is well known for its Rock Lobsters.

Situated on the south bank of the Murray River, this town is in the Riverland region of SA.
It is a rich agricultural area, with orchards and a winery and it is a good place to base yourself to tourn the local region including to the Banlock Wetlands area.
The park is pet friendly; subject to prior approval for the powered and unpowered sites, as well as 2 x semi ensuite cabins.
These are all subject to availability and dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Murray Bridge is a major crossroads city around 76KM E-SE of Adelaide and 77KM N of Meningie and was originally known as Mobilong.
It has a great climate, attracts around 1.1M visitors per annum and is popular for many water-based activities on the Murray River.

Mitcham is an inner-southern suburb of Adelaide; around 7KM from the CBD, which is accessible by train. It is also a short drive to the popular Glenelg beach and local shops, cafés and restaurants.

Hahndorf Resort Tourist Park – Adelaide Hills area
Hahndorf is a small town in the Adelaide Hills, around a 1-hour drive from Adelaide.
It is famous for it’s German-style buildings after being settled by German Lutheran migrants in the 19th century.
It is an important and popular tourist spot and has been announced as South Australia’s most pet friendly destination as well as No. 3 for Australia and No. 21 for worldwide.

NRMA Victor Harbor Beachfront Holiday Park – Fleurieu Peninsula
Victor Harbor is a coastal town and tourist spot on the Fleurieu Peninsula, around a 1-hour drive south of Adelaide.
It is an interesting destination with horse drawn tram rides along the waterfront, a wild penguin colony, a tourist steam train, whale watching opportunities and many different water-based opportunities for a great holiday.

Kingscote Tourist Park & Family Units – Brownlow (Kangaroo Island)
Note: Firstly, Kangaroo Island does permit dogs (and cats) onto the island when travelling with their owners, such as using the ferry from Cape Jervis.
They are not permitted in any of the parks or park facilities on the island; which means around 1/3 of the island prohibits cats and dogs.
Kangaroo Island is also known as Karta, “The island of the dead” and sadly that name took on a new meaning after the 2020 bushfires.
Tourism and agriculture, including a southern rock lobster fishery are major contributors to the local economy.
This park has an accommodation mix of camping and caravan sites along with cabins and advertises as dog friendly. They are in a bushland setting on Nepean Bay with a safe children’s beach.

Barossa Valley is a major wine and food growing area and is made up of towns such as Angaston, Nuriootpa and Tanunda.

Port Hughes Tourist Park – Copper Coast region
The coastal township of Port Hughes is situated on the Copper Coast region of the Yorke Peninsula; around 135KM NW of Adelaide.
It has a Greg Norman designed golf course and is a tourist destination thanks to its climate, beaches, fishing and scuba diving opportunities.

Port Lincoln Tourist Park – Eyre Peninsula
Port Lincoln is a coastal city in the lower Eyre Peninsula famous for its fish and seafood industries as well as adventure and rare flora and fauna.
It is around 650KM drive from Adelaide.
This tourist park is right on the waterfront and it is dog friendly.

Coodlie Park Farm Retreat – Eyre Peninsula (Port Kenny near Venus Bay)
Port Kenny is on the western side of the upper Eyre Peninsula, just south of Venus Bay.
It’s economy is based on agriculture, fishing and tourism. It is around 655 KM west of Adelaide.
This farm retreat is around 50KM from Elliston, 80KM from Streaky Bay, and only a 5-minute drive from the tourism spots of Talia Caves and Mt Camel.

The operators are passionate about eco-tourism, are 100% carbon neutral; making them a sustainable eco-tourism business.
The property is 3,000-acres with 1,000-acres in native and coastal vegetation and the remainder of the property used for cropping and grazing.
They even welcome travelers as volunteers on the property.
They are pet friendly and your dog must be on a lead and stay indoors. Accommodations options include bush camping.

Skytrek Willow Springs Station – Hawker (Flinders Ranges region)
Hawker is a Flinders Ranges town situated around 365KM N of Adelaide.
It was a thriving railway town from the 1880’s through until the mid-1950’s, when the rail route was shifted further west.
Their current day economy is based on sheep, a growing number of cattle and in tourism.
The location of Willow Springs Station is around 21KM NE of Wilpena Pound (just 3km off the Flinders Ranges Way), and around 71KM NE from the town of Hawker.

There is a limited number of bush camping sites; around 2KM from the homestead.
We suggest you mention your dog prior to booking.
The sites come with fire ring and BBQ plate, picnic table and a long drop toilet; all pretty basic but after all that is part of the experience of being in an outback station environment.
